Getting Tested
May 2022 Update

If you are running a fever, there is an almost 100% chance that you are sick!  Stay home and stay away from other people as best you can – just like you would if you were sick with things besides COVID. You are sick and you might spread whatever you have to others.

If your symptoms are mild and you aren’t in a high risk group there are three things that you can do:

  1. Get some free at-home tests delivered to you: https://www.covid.gov/tests.

  2. Try this Coronavirus Self Checker

  3. www.covid.gov is a one-stop shop website with the latest updates on staying well, preventing the spread of COVID, access to vaccines, tests, treatments, and masks.

Remember, what you really want to do is watch out for these severe symptoms:

  • Trouble breathing

  • Persistent pain or pressure in the chest

  • New confusion

  • Inability to wake or stay awake

  • Pale, gray, or blue-colored skin, lips, or nail beds, depending on skin tone

(These symptoms are an emergency, even if you don’t have COVID. Call 911!)

What if you don’t have any symptoms but you still want to know if you have COVID?

Get some free at-home tests: https://www.covid.gov/tests.

Staying Well

The next time you visit your pharmacy, consider asking about what other vaccines might be good for you to get while you are there.  It is safe to get both the COVID-19 vaccine and other vaccines that you need at the same time.  Save a trip and skip the flu, shingles, and other illnesses that are guaranteed to ruin your day!
